Economy

The Economic stability and the figures of the past years shows that Costa Rica offers a very positive outlook for investment in all levels. At the end of 2013 the country recorded the lowest inflation of the last 36 years with a 3.68%, as well as a stable growth rate and trade liberalization policies which promote their development and financial exchange.

One of the pillars of the economic development of Costa Rica has been the opening to international trade, which has made it possible to exceed the proportion of the exports of 30% of GDP in 1980 to a rate of 38% of exports in 2012 (including exports of goods and services). This has driven a series of structural changes that have led to a growth in factor productivity, diversification of the economy and a higher level of investment.

In other respects, 2012-2013 of the World Economic Forum Global competitiveness report, placed the educational system of Costa Rica in the position number 21 of 144 economies, being the highest in Latin America. All these issues demonstrate that we are ready to receive a series of investments in the area of Puerto Limon that will generate not only better conditions and development, but the need for new living spaces of quality. The province is located at the gates of the construction of a new port terminal that will boost the local economy and optimize service exporters and importers, will additionally offer more than 1,000 jobs during its first stage as well as 1000 more later. Puerto Limon is receiving the benefits of the City Port of Limon project, that already invests in security, culture, education, and infrastructure issues.

Also institutions such as RECOPE will soon expand its facilities in order to improve their productivity, generating more employment and attracting investment and development housing opportunities. At Condominiums El Encanto we see beyond, that’s why we provide housing alternatives for Puerto Limon, which we all want and deserve.
